Gokyo and Renjo La pass trek starts from Lukla and ends at Lukla. This pass lies in western part of the Everest basecamp valley from where you will be able to view spectacular mountains view, largest glacier  in Nepal - Ngozumpa, five mountains of above 8000m height - Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho oyu, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Lhotse shar and Mt.  Makalu, beautiful lake around Gokyo and  traditional sherpa culture and thier Budhhist religion.

This trek is considered as one of the best trek in Nepal. The Gokyo and Renjo La Pass trek starts from Lukla which is a half hour flight from Kathmandu. We trek to Phakding then the following day we start the trek towards the Namche Bazaar where we will get the first glimpse of Mount Everest along with natural habitats around Sagarmatha National Park. Then we will trek to Machhermo via Dole where the mountains appears to be more spectacular than before. After reaching Gokyo we can enjoy the beauty of Ngozumpa glacier which is the largest of its kind. From Gokyo Ri you can see the panoramic views of various mountains like Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt Everest, Mt Lhotse, Lhotse Star, Mt Makalu, Mt Pumori, Mt Amadablam and also the Ngozumpa glacier. If you believe that not enough, you should watch the ice ridge formed between Cho Oyu and Gyachung which is considered as the best panoramic view in the Khumbu Region. After trekking further more to Renjo La Pass you will visit Thame Monastery which is the most popular monastery in that region among the Buddhists and then you will return back to Namche Bazaar then to Lukla from where you will take a short flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival in Nepal

Our representative will pickup from Tribhuvan international airport to drop you to hotel. Today you will have chance to chill around the capital city - Kathmandu.

Day 02: Sightseeing

Be ready at 9 AM, our manager will meet you at your hotel and  brief you about the trip. Head for  sightseeing to world heritage & cultural place (Pasupatinath Temple, Swyambhunath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square  and  Bouddha Stupd ) with our guide. Ask your city guide about culture, religion and history of  Nepal. After sightseeing you will be dropped to the hotel where you will be introduced to your trekking guide. Guide tells you airport time for next day. Use idle time yourself  by buying some trekking gear or energy bar for 2 weeks.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla then hike to Phakding

Flight time: 35 minutees & walking time: 3.5 hour

Today be ready on time. Your guide will take you to airport. Our domestic flight depends on the weather condition. Please be informed that the flight might get postponed to next day in case of bad weather. When you get to Lukla catch your porter then walk slightly uphill and downhill which is  lower than lukla elevation, This is easy day,  you need to follow Dhudkosi River where you see nice mountain view, Serpa remote village, farming land & pine forest on your way.

Day 04: Namche (3420m)

Walking time:6 hours

The trail is easy and  slightly uphill until junction of Dhudkosi & Bhotekosi River, then uphill 1.5 hour steeply through pine forest to Namche. We need to cross many suspension bridges along the way where you can see farming land, first Everest viewpoint, mountain pick, wildlife, Sagarmatha national park office where you need to buy permit, high Suspension Bridge, Monastery, "Mane" wall, pray wheels, Stupa & Sherpa local village.

Day 05: Acclimatization day

Today you are allowed to choose one of the options from following:

1)  Visit to twins village (Khunde & Khumjung): It takes 4 hour walk(up and down) where you can see highest airport in the world Shyangboche airstrip, Hillary Hospital, Hillary school, Panoramic mountain view, Yak grazing in pasture and  local Sherpa village.

2) Visit to Everest view hotel:  It take 3 hour(up and down) steeply uphill, follow the ridge through airstrip all the way to 1st hill top, where you see panoramic mountain view including Everest & sacred peak of Khumbila.

3) Visit to Sagarmatha National Park which is close to the Namche village. It  headquarters first ridge where you see panoramic Mountain View & museum, it takes to go just one hour (up and down) to hotel.

Day 06: Dole (4090m)

Walking time: 5.5 hours

There is also option to go via upper trail through Khumjung or lower Everest Base Camp (EBC) trail which is easy trail until Kenjoma then left EBC trail behind and  follow left trail which is uphill .You will see nice mountain view, Mountain goat, Nepali national bird - Lopophorous, Yak grazing on pasture & tea houses. Until "Mong Danda"  you will pass by beautiful alpine grassy lands and pass through forest all the way to Dole gradually uphill.

Day 07: Machhermo (4410)

Walking time: 4 hours

Trail goes again slightly uphill all the way to Machhermo, no more tree line only shrub juniper & alpine land where you see yak grazing. You will trek alongside of valley  passing yak Kharka (yak keeping place), pretty windy valley and nice mountain view.  You will have easy short day trip today and  If you feel good, you can continue to Gokyo which is another 3 hour  walk and  make buffer next day.

Day 08: Gokyo (4750m)

Walking time: 3.5 hrs

Ascend uphill along the side of Dudhkoshi river bank. You get nice Mountain View, meadows, glacier view & 1st, 2nd lake where you see mountain duck and cool air from mountains will turn your mood on. Take your time enjoy the scenary and follow the left side Ngozumpa glacier until Gokyo, then Rest of time -  roam around Gokyo lake or hike to ridge close to Ngozumpa glacier for  glacier view & mountain view.

Day 09: Buffer day

Hike Gokyo-ri (5360m) early morning which takes 4 to 5 hour both way, right next to Gokyo lake you need to hike to the top of the small hill to see the panoramic view of mountains. This viewpoint are incredible where you see 5 mountains above 8000m like Mt. Cho Oyo, Mt. Gyachung Kang, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Lhotse Shar, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cholatse,Mt. Tawachee, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumari, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Thamserku, biggest glacier Ngozumpa and lakes. After 360 degree panoramic view, return back to the hotel visit  5th Lake where you see huge Glacier Ngozumpa very closely, view of Mt. Everest facing Tibet, Close view of Mt. Cho Oyu close, big Lake view, Icefall & other mountain views. Do not miss those opportunity. 

Day 10: Over the Renjo-La pass (5360m) then Lumde (4368m)

Walking time: 6 to 7 hours

Wake up early then follow along the right side of Gokyo Lake, pretty easy 1st hour then steepy uphill until the pass which is rocky trail. It might take another 3 hours for slow hike. Along the ridge you will see nice Mountain View, Glacier, Gokyo Lake & 8 thousander mountain view. When you reach the Renjo La pass you will see simialr  view like from gokyo-ri. This is last viewpoint in our trip; spend as much time as you like then rest of trail descend  steepy downhill until Lumde. Along the way you will see some wildlife & yak grazing on pasture.

Day 11: Namche Bazar (3420m)

Walking time: 5 to 6 hours

Today we have to follow bank of the Bhotekosi River which is easy downhill. We need to pass some local village, farming land, Monastery, river gorge; Suspension bridge, Yak pasture & impressive Mountain View. Finally we get back to different landscape & view like trees and forest and  traditional sherpa village along with the famous Thame Monastery. When you arrive Namche chill out.

Day 12: Lukla (2840m)

Walking time: 6 hours

Steeply descend through the pine forest all the way to high suspension bridge on Dhudh Kosi River. Rest.You will walk through the bumpy tial. You need to check out your trekking permit & pass many Sherpa local village. When you arrive to Lukla you can make your guide & porter happy by providing tips as per your wish. Today is your last day in Himalaya, enjoy  and make it memorable.

Day 13: Fly back to Kathmandu

Fly time: 35 minute

We will recommend you to take one day buffer in case the flight from Lukta to kathmandu gets postponed due to bad weather condition. You will fly back to Kathmandu in normal condition. Today your guide will drop you to your hotel where you get free accommodation just for one night except food. If you stay longer please arrange by yourself. This is your last day in Nepal, try to buy some souvenir to your friends or Family. Hope you get good time with our company & don't forget to comment about our service.
