Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

Arrival in Kathmandu. Upon arrival, our representative will meet outside the arrival terminal building and transfer to hotel.

Day 02 :Trek preparation day and Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.

After breakfast, staff from our office along with our tour guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and discuss briefly about the trek. Then you will proceed for sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. Our tour guide will take you around some of the famous cultural, religious and historical places around the city. You will be taken around Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambhunath, Bouddhanath and Patan Durbar Square.  After returning in the later afternoon, prepare yourself for the trekking which starts the following day.

Day 03 :Fly to Lukla. Then, trek to Phakding (2610m)

Breakfast at Hotel (packed breakfast served as the Lukla flight operates early in the morning)

Your trekking guide will pickup you from your hotel to airport on a private car. We will board a flight to Lukla from Tribhuvan Int. airport for about half an hour. After landing to Lukla, your trek will start formally from here.The trail to Phakding from Lukla is gradually downhill about 3.5 hours walk. Now you have entered to the land of sherpas where you will see mane walls, monasteries, pray wheels and some sight of snowcapped peaks

Then hike to Phakding(2660m). Walking hours – 3 hrs. approx)

Day 04 :Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3420m)

Walking time: 5 to 6 hrs

Today you will be following the slightly uphill trail by the bank of Dudh Koshi River till the junction of Dudh Koshi and Bhotey Koshi river.From the junction you need to follow the uphill trail till Namche Bazar. If the weather is clear you will be able to get the first sight of Everest from Durbin danda along the way. You will be entering the world heritage site- Sagarmatha National park which is the house of multitude of mountain wildlife's. You may pass through the guest houses, farming lands, natural waterfalls and springs and pine forest, Himalayan floras and faunas on the way.

Day 05:Acclimatization Day

Today is rest day but we recommend you to keep moving to acclimatize with the altitude. For this you can either take a short trip of about an hour uphill till army camp and visit museum inside Sagarmatha national park and enjoy the panoramic mountain view or you can take a longer trip to Everest View hotel (3900m) which is steeply uphill and takes you about 3 to 4 hours. From the hotel you can get the better panoramic views of the mountains. We recommend you to trek to Everest view hotel.

Day 06: Trek from Namche to Tengboche(3870m)

Walking time: 5 hrs

Today after breakfast we will take a uphill trail for almost 15 minutes uphill through the village then we will follow almost flat trail all the way to Sanasa village. From Sanasa village we will take a descending trail leaving aside the trail to Gokyo. The trail descends downward till Phunki Thenga and rest of the trail is uphill that passes through the forest all the way to Tengboche. From Tengboche you can get the 360 degree panoramic mountain view including mighty Mt. Everest.The main attraction of Tengboche is Tengboche monastery where Buddhist monks chants prayers and does meditation every day. Trekkers who are heading to EBC are allowed to visit the monastery after 3PM to get blessings from the holy monk

Day 07 :Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche(4360m)

Walking time: 5 hrs

Today, try to wake up early to view the sunrise After breakfast follow the descending trail passing through the forest of Birch and Rhododendron until you reach the suspension bridge. After crossing the bridge the trail goes slightly uphill passing Pangboche, Orsho to Dingboche.You will leave the tree line behind and enter the alpine grassland today. You will see yaks and sheep grazing on a pasture. Today you can get view of mountains like Amadablam, Lho-tse, Taboche and Island peak which is popular for climbing

Day 08 :Acclimatization Day

Today is another rest day you will have during your EBC trek session.You can climb to Nangkartshang hill at an elevation of 5000m or you can head to Chhukung at 4730m, choice is yours; We recommend you to opt for Nangkartshang hill because you will get better view from here and it will ease your trekking the next day as you will ascend to an altitude greater than 5000m tomorrow.

Day 09 :Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (5000m)

Walking time: 5 hrs

The trail goes slightly uphill till Thugla then descends moderately up till Lobuche. You will see memorial stupa and pray flag hanging on the hill over the Thugla pass. The stupas were built in the memory of climbers who have lost their life during the expedition of Mt. Everest. You will get an opportunity to get the view of Tawache, Cholache, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Pumari, Nuptse & Kusum kankaru mountains. The glacier ridge of Lobuche offers you the view of Everest base camp, Kala pattar, Khumbu glacier and moraines formed by glaciers.

Day 10 :Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5165m) then to Everest Base Camp (5364m).

Walking time: 3 hrs to Gorakshep and 4 hrs to Everest Base Camp.

The trail is flat and easy for about an hour then you will pass through the moraine formed by glaciers; where the trail becomes rocky and icy. The trail ascends gradually up all the way to Gorakshep. You will leave your bags behind at the hotel and hike to Everest basecamp which is 4 hours walk (both way). Finally you are at the elevation of 5345m from the sea level. You will see the closer view of Khumbu glacier, some of the popular mountains like Nuptse, Pumori, Lobuche, Khumbtse, Lingtung, slight view of Mt. Everest and Lho-La .

Day 11 :Hike to Kalapather(5550m) then to Dzonglah (4830m)

Walking time: 3 hours to Kalapather then 4.5 hours to Dzongla

Today our trekking guide wakes up 2 hour before sunrise. Hike steeply uphill to Kalapather in a windy and freezing cold temperature. Today the trek is tough compared to other trek you have come across; ascend steeply up to reach the highest point of your trip - Kalapather. From the ridge of Kalapather you will be able to view the sunrise on the mountains. From here you will be able to see the very close view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Dablom, Mt. Thangserkhu, Mt. Tabuche, Mt. Cholache, Mt. Lobuche, Mt. Chongrila, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingten, Mt Khumbutse and Mt Lho la. After returning to Gorakshep take breakfast and follow previous trail until Lobuche. You have option here: either you can return back through the previous trail to Namche bazar or you can follow different trail (recommended) thropugh Cho la. If you follow track of Cho La Pass, you need to take trail to the right on Lobuche to Dzongla in Cho La valley. Take rest after getting to Dzongla to revive your energy for next day trek to Cho La pass – the highest pass.

Day 12 :Over the Cho La(5420m) then to Dragnag (4700m)

Walking time: 7-8 hours

Trail is pretty easy first hour then ascends steeply uphill all the way to Cho La pass which is rocky & icy. Rest of the trail goes steeply down to the Cho La Phedi then easy downhill to Dragnag. If there is heavy snowfall, we recommend you not to move over the Cho la pass. From Cho la pass you will be able to see spectacular Mountain View, biggest glacier Ngozumba and some lakes around the glacier.

Day 13 :Gokyo (4790m)

Walking time: 3.5 hours

Today trail goes through Glacier which is bit risky. You might lose the trail easily so it is advised for you to follow your trekking guide. When you pass the Ngozumba glacier then you will get to Gokyo which is sacred area for the Hindus & Buddhists. This area is peaceful & clean where you see huge Gokyo Lake. Now you do have an option for making good rest or hiking all the way to the fifth lake – Ngozumba Tsho(4990m). Form this area you will be able to see the close view of Ngozumba glacier, panoramic Mountain View including Mt.Cho Oyu, Mt. Everest & many more mountain peaks.

Day 14 :Exploration day.

Hike Gokyo-Ri (5360m) early morning which takes 4 to 5 hour both way, right next to Gokyo lake you need to hike to the top of the small hill to see the panoramic view of mountains. This viewpoint are incredible where you see 5 mountains above 8000m like Mt. Cho Oyo, Mt. Gyachung Kang, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Lhotse Shar, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cholatse,Mt. Tawachee, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumari, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Thamserku, biggest glacier Ngozumpa and lakes. After 360 degree panoramic view, return back to hotel and visit  5th Lake where you see huge Glacier Ngozumpa very closely, view of Mt. Everest facing Tibet, Close view of Mt. Cho Oyu close, big Lake view, Icefall & other mountain views. You should not miss those opportunities.

Day 15 : Dole (4200m)

Walking time: 4.5 hours

Today after breakfast, follow the downhill bank of the Dhudhkosi River till Dole. You will be passing through yak pasture, local tea house, alpine land, lake, rivers, mountain wildlife & glaciers.

Day 16 :Namche (3440m)

Walking hour: 5 hours

Follow the bank of the Dhudh koshi river through a forest, which is easy downhill all the way to Phortse Thanga then climb up 1.5 hour to Mong La hill then rest of the trail goes downhill till Namche. You will see valley view, Mountain View, Local Sherpa village, Pasture, River gorge, Forest, Monastery, Chorten, and Wildlife. You can chill out the remaining time in Namche to get rid of your tiredness.

Day 17 :Lukla (2840m)

Walking time: 6 hours

Today is your last day on Himalayas so try to make your trip memorable. Take steeply downhill through pine forest until highest suspension bridge then follow the bumpy trail by the  bank of the Dudh Koshi river to Lukla. When you get to Lukla reconfirm you flight ticket and you can enjoy rest of the time with your trekking staffs.

Day 18 :Fly back to Kathmandu

It is 35 minutes flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. Your trekking guide will take you to your hotel. If you want to stay more then you have to arrange accommodations by yourself. If the weather goes bad, your flight from Lukla to Kathmandu might get postponed. Please get prepared for this and be flexible.

Day 19 :Final Departure.
