Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal. Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, representatives from our office will welcome you and drop you at the hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing
After the breakfast, you will be greeted by our hotel representatives at your hotel and brief you about the trekking. Then you will go for a guided tour around the Kathmandu valley to see four UNESCO world heritage sites – Pashupati Nath, Swoyambhunath, Bouddhanath and Patan Durbar Square. Return early in the evening so that you will have just enough time to prepare your trekking gears.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2845 m) then hike to Phakding (2660 m)
Walking time: 3.5 Hours
Get ready early in the morning. Your guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the airport in a car or taxi. Your flight from Kathmandu to Lukla will take around 35 minutes. Your formal trekking will start after landing at Lukla. Initially the trail is slightly uphill then you have to follow the downhill trail all the way to Phakding. Overnight at Phadking.
Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3420 m)
Walking time: 5 to 6 hours
Today the trail is easy which is slightly uphill until the junction of Dudha Koshi and Bhote Koshi. From here you need to follow steeper uphill trail all the way to Namche Bazaar. Today you will get the first glimpse of Mount Everest if the weather is clear and also will be entering the world heritage site – Sagarmatha National Park.
Day 05: Acclimatization Day
This day is allocated as a rest day during the trek but we recommend you to keep moving in order to acclimatize with the altitude. We suggest you two options for this day. One option is that you can take a short trip of about an hour uphill until the army camp and visit museum located inside Sagarmatha National Park. Or you can take a longer trip to Everest View Hotel (3900 m) which is steep uphill and takes around 3.5 hours. From the hotel you can get better view of the mountains and the surroundings. Overnight at Namche.
Day 06: Namche to Tyangboche (3870 m)
Walking time: 5 hours
After breakfast you will follow uphill trail for about 15 minutes through the village and then follow almost flat trail all the way to Sanasa Village. From here you will take descending trail till Phunki Thenga leaving aside the trail to Gokyo, then uphill all the way to Tyangboche. Tyangboche provides you the 360 degree panoramic mountain views including that of mighty Mount Everest. The main attraction of this place is the Tyangboche Monastery where the Buddhists monk prays and meditates every year. To those trekkers who are visiting to Everest Base Camp, they can get blessings from the holy monk of the Monastery.
Day 07: Tyangboche to Monjo
Walking time: 6 hours
Today you have to follow bank of the Bhotekosi River which is easy downhill. You need to pass some local villages, farming lands, Monastery, river gorge, Suspension bridge, Yak pastures and impressive Mountain View. Overnight at Monjo upon reaching there.
Day 08: Monjo to Lukla
Walking time: 5 hours
The trail descends along the ridge through pine forest until high suspension bridge then rest of the trail goes easy until Lukla. Today is the last day of your trip, you can gather and enjoy with your trekking team to make it memorable. Overnight at Lukla.
Day 09: Fly back to Kathmandu
Take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu and the guide will drop you at your hotel. Since this is your last free day at Kathmandu, you can engage yourself buying gifts and souvenirs to your loved ones back at home. If you want to stay for more days, all the expense will be for you to bear. Stay overnight at Kathmandu hotel.
Day 10: Departure
End of an exciting trip, we will drop you at the airport and bid farewell.
