Mesokanto La pass is one of the most attractive camping trekking destinations that takes you to one of the highest altitude lake in the world - Tilicho lake(4,920m), that lies in Manang district of Annapurna region. Trek to Tilicho lake is one of the most popular side hikes of the Annapurna circuit trek. It was also the site of one of the highest ever altitude scuba diving done by Russian diving team.
Mesokanto la Pass Trekking provides the panoramic view of Mt. Tilicho Annapurna massif, Mt. Gangapurna, Mt. Fishtail, Glacier Dome and hundreds of mountains and peaks. It follows the route of Annapurna region to Mesokanto La pass at 5340m. The adventure continues in Annapurna region with magnificent views of Annapurna massif and Dhaulagiri massif. It is one of the pleasant adventures with the opportunities of exploring green valleys and hills, culturally rich villages, flowery slopes, forests of rhododendron, pastures lands and river gorges including very impressive sunrise and sunset views in Himalayan Range. The trail is full of diverse flora and fauna. The trek is ideal for both the natural explorers and adventure seekers.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Airport Pick Up and Drop to the Hotel Rooms.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Staffs from our company will meet you early in the morning where he will brief you about your trekking. After that, enjoy your day sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley with our tour guide. Return around 5 and prepare your trekking gears.
Day 03: Drive to Besisahar-Lamjung
Drive Time: 6-7 hours
Your guide will be at your hotel at 7 in the morning to receive you and take you to Tourists Bus Station. Due to a narrow road high Tourists Coach Buses are probably difficult to ride so medium size van is perfect for this way, but the price for the van is not included in the package. After reaching Besisahar, you can enjoy a surrounding environment or stay at your hotel.
Day 04: Drive to Chame
Drive Time: 6-7 hours
Due to off road, the drive becomes quite difficult. Four wheel drive vehicles are used to drive in such types of road. From the road you can see spectacular view of traditional civilization and waterfalls. The way passes through Annapurna Conservation Area so you can see frequent passing of wild animals, which makes your drive wonderful. The Journey start through the beach of Marshyangdi river and ends at headquarter of Manang district-Chame, the gateway for Annapurna Round Trek as well Mesokanto- La pass.
Day 05: Chame to Pishang
Trekking time: 5 hours
The journey starts from Chame for Mesokanto – la pass. Trekking trails are moderate for this region, however sometime you may encounter difficult trails as well. This trail is located between mid–hilly regions to the Himalayan regions, hence numerous waterfalls are found which helps to relax your pain while you are in treks. The way follows though road trails and well hospitality civilization as well as Marshyangdhi river.
Day 06: Pisang to Manang
Trekking Time: 4-5 hours
The trek is quite easy for this region due to upper Himalayan diversity. Trail passes through different Kharka, apple farms and spectacular landscape. Warm hospitality of the local residents of different ethnicity like Poon, Thakali and Gurung is the best part of this trek. The trail follows Annapurna range from all side where as your front side is cover by apples farms and trekking trails. There are two trails possible, lower is easy and short but the upper trail is steep uphill, long and hard but you can have better views and opportunity to see some traditional villages of Ghyaru and Nawal.
Day 07: Manang Acclimatization Day
It is very important to stay one more day in Manang as a rest days on which anyone can explore Manang and Annapurna Range through climbing different viewpoints which are located nearby. A gentle walk is required to avoid high altitude sickness. Ice Lake, Bojo Gumba and monasteries are the areas to explore when you are in Manang.
Day 08: Manang - Tilicho Base Camp.
Walking time: 6-7 hours
The trails are separated from here to Thorang -La pass and Mesokanto–La, both passes are equally known for an adventurous trek. Trails follows through different ice lake and glaciers towards the Tilicho Base camp. Especially on this day there is a chance to see different wild animals in the Marshyangdhi River and Kharka. Annapurna Range lies closer to this route where as Tilicho base camp is just a starting Point of Annapurna Fourth and Tilicho Peaks.
Day 09: Tilicho Base Camp - High Camp
Walking time: 4-5 hours
You have to start early in the morning for high camp of Tilicho Taal. A single mountain needs to climb to get to the high camp which takes around 4-5 hours. Tilicho Taal stands at the altitude of 4920 m so that there is maximum chance for altitude sickness. Overnight in Tent.
Day 10: Rest days at High Camp
This day is reserved specially for making you mentally and physically prepared for Mesokanto-La pass which is at 5121 m. During the resting day in high camp you can explore Tilicho Taal and the moraines formed by the glaciers in the vicinity. Overnight in tent.
Day 11: Over the Mesokanto La Pass to Chauri Kharka
To make a successful pass of Mesokanto- La, the trek starts early in the morning. A walk of 3 hours is needed for a successful pass and to enter in to Mustang District. A pass is difficult so you require proper instruments like Ice rope, ice axe etc. After crossing the Pass there are no any hotels and tea houses for night stay. Overnight at Chauri Kharka in tent.
Day 12: Chauri Kharka- Jomsom
Walking time: 4 hours.
Regular decline of the trail leads you into Jomsom by leaving Annapurna range behind you. Trail continues to decline until you reach Jomsom which is another hub for Mustang and Upper Mustang Treks.
Day 13: Jomsom to Pokhara
There are so many options for you to reach Pokhara from Jomsom. You can ride a local bus to Pokhara or reserve a van. You can also find a plane ticket to Pokhara which is exclusive of the package cost.
Day 14: Pokhara to Kathmandu
From Pokhara you can find a Tourist bus to Kathmandu from tourist Bus Park. Or you can find a plane which is exclusive of the package.
Day 15: End of the trip, drop to the international airport for the final departure.
