Ghorepani PoonHill Trek

Ghorepani PoonHill trek is designed specially to those people who have less holiday time and yet want a real taste of trekking in Nepal. This trek is also called as short and sweet trek where you can have incredible mountain views and traditional cultural taste. It is considered to be a relatively easy trek compared to other trek in Nepal. 
This trek starts from Nayapul, along the Modi River, then to Hile which leads you to Tikhe Dhunga then to Ghorepani.  After that the trek starts with the hike up to the Poon Hill from where you can see the incredible sight of sunrise early in the morning. After a while, you will reach a place from where you can see panoramic sight of various mountains namely, Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri, Himchuli, Nilgiri, Mt. Fishtail and others. 
The trek is best during the March to May and from Sepetember to December.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu, Airport Pick up and Drop at the hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing 
After the breakfast, the representatives from our office will visit you and brief about the trekking. Then you will proceed for a sightseeing around the Kathmandu, namely Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath and Patan Durbar Square. Return around 5 pm in the evening, after which you will arrange your trekking gear and be ready for the next day.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara by Tourist Bus
Drive Time: 6-7 Hours
Today you will be travelling to Pokhara, also known as the tourism capital of Nepal. Around 6:30, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the Tourist Bus Park. You can also travel by plane, which is at your own cost. Enjoy walks around the Lake side or have fun boating in the Fewa lake right in the heart of the city. Overnight at Pokhara.
Day 04: Pokhara to Ulleri (2070 m)
Drive time: 1 Hour 15 minutes
Walking Time: 5 Hours 30 minutes
After the breakfast you will be driven to Nayapul in a taxi or a car along with our guide. Your first day of hiking starts from here. The initial track is easy, but after you reach Tikhe Dhunga, you have to climb 3200 stoney stones until you reach Ulleri. During the trek you will be passing the lowland rice fields, traditional local villages, meadows, waterfalls and river. If the weather is good, you can see incredible view of Annapurna South and Himchuli. Overnight at Ulleri.
Day 05: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2750 m)
Walking Time: 5 Hours
The trail is slightly uphill until you reach Ghorepani. Today the trail passes through the forest, including Rhododendron forest. Along the way you can see majestic views of various mountains like Annapurna South, Fishtail and Dhaulagiri. The Poonhill is just a 45 minute hike from Ghorepani, you can hike there to see the sunset view if the weather is clear. 
Day 06: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2700 m)
Walking Time: 6 Hours
Wake up early in the morning around one hour before the sunrise and hike up to the Poonhill. It is considered as the best spot for sunrise view as well as 360 degree panoramic mountain views. You can also see parts of Jomsom as well as parts of upper Mustang. Return back to the hotel and have a nice breakfast and descend through the pine and Rhododendron forests until you reach Tadapani. Overnight at Tadapani.
Day 07: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1950 m)
Walking Time: 4 Hours
Today the initial trial is plain until you reach Bhaisi Kharka, after that the trail is steep downhill until Ghandruk. Ghandruk offers you an incredible view of various mountains including, Fishtail Mountain, Annapurna III, Annapurna South and Himchuli. Trip to Gurung Museum and local monasteries are the things you can do while you are in Ghandruk. 
Day 08: Ghandruk to Nayapul then to Pokhara
Walking Time: 4 Hours
Driving Time: 1 Hours 15 Minutes
Following the Modi River, a gentle descent leads you to Nayapul. After reaching Nayapul, you will hire a taxi or private car and ride back to Pokhara. Enjoy yourself in Pokhara visiting many places like Fewa Lake, various caves and waterfalls. If you intend to stay more nights in Pokhara, let us know and we will arrange it for you at an extra cost. Overnight at Pokhara.
Day 09: Pokhara to Kathmandu 
Driving Time: 6-7 Hours
Early in the morning, proceed to the tourist Bus Park, where you will ride a bus to Kathmandu. If you prefer rafting while going back to Kathmandu, we will provide you a private car and rafting package at an extra cost. 
Day 10: End of the trip, representatives from our office will drop you at the international airport and bid farewell.
