Chitwan National Park Jungle Safari
Chitwan National Park is the first national park of Nepal and was established in 1973 and was included in a World Heritage Site in 1984.
This park presents a balanced and rich ecosystem that includes mammals, birds, reptiles and different water species. There are around 600 plant species which covers about the 70% of the national park. The typical vegetation of this region is Himalayan subtropical broadleaf forests with predominantly sal (Shorea Robusta) trees.
The park is home to at least 43 species of mammals. The highlight of this park is one horned rhinoceros and Royal Bengal tigers. It provides home to lots of other animals like deer, leopards, wild boars, sloth bears, honey badgers, Bengal foxes, hyenas, wild dogs, jungle cats, golden jackals, crab eating mongoose, smooth-coated otters, and spotted linsangs, fishing cats, yellow-throated martens and other several species of monkeys. It also provides shelter to around 49 amphibians and reptiles including different types of snakes and pythons as well as other endangered amphibians like Gharial and Mugger crocodiles.
This park is famous for bird watching as there are around 543 recorded species of birds. Every year, many migratory birds like Indian pina, parakeets and paradise flycatcher arrives during the summer, while winter birds like pintails, cormorants, greater spotted eagle, and other migratory birds from Serbia arrives here too. Many other species of birds like woodpeckers, spotted eagle, jungle fowl, cuckoos, peafowl, storks, kingfishers are also found here.
The main attractions of the park are Jungle safari, Elephant Riding, Jeep safari, hiking, bird watching, boating, cycling and Tharu Cultural Show.

Day 01: Arrival at Chitawan
You will arrive at Chitawan from wherever you are; either from Kathmandu or from Pokhara or Lumbini. After arriving at the Chitawan hotel, you will be served a welcome drink and be given a briefing about the tour. After the lunch, you will be taken to the Tharu Village Tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and their lifestyles. Then you will be taken to the Elephant Breeding center from where you will be taken to the bank of Rapti River from the panoramic sunset view. Return back to the hotel for the dinner according to your choice and you will be taken for a special cultural program where you will see Tharu Stick Dance. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Wild Sightseeing & Jungle Activities
An early wake up call and bed tea/coffee from the hotel staffs and you will be offered a breakfast of your choice. Then you will be taken for a Canoe Ride on the Rapti River where you will find crocodiles as well. Along with our guide, you will be taken to the Chitawan National Park for bird watching and Jungle walk where you will have the opportunity to see the wild animals, small mammals, various species of birds and wild sightseeing. After that you will proceed for a lunch then you will be taken for an Elephant Ride which will last for an hour where you will have an excellent opportunity to get the lifetime experience of riding an elephant back. You can head to the bank of Rapti River for the incredible sunset view or you can enjoy it from the hotel. After dinner, overnight at the Hotel.
Day 03: Early Bird watching and Departure
Early in the morning, the staff from the hotel will give you a wake up call and serve bed tea or coffee. Then you can enjoy the bird watching in the hotel compounds or visit the jungle for the same. After that you will be served a breakfast at the hotel and you will bid farewell to Chitawan for the final time.
